A mobile court of the Power Development Board (PDB), Chittagong on Wednesday snapped seven electricity connections and filed seven cases for having bill arrears and using electricity illegally in the city.
The drive was conducted at Al-Karan, Sadarghat, Ashraf Ali road and Gani Bakery areas, said a press release.
The court disconnected five electricity lines and filed cases against five peopel for having Tk16.33 lakh bill arrears. Later, it fined two people Tk2.60 lakh for using electricity illegally.
It also disconnected their electricity connections and filed two cases.
