Md. Abdul Halim Chowdhury, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pubali Bank Limited has underscored the need for increasing export-import business with a view to boosting country’s economy.
The managing director asked the managers and regional managers to undertake necessary steps in this regard.
“NRBs are sending their hard earned money, which is contributing a vital role to increase country’s reserve”, said the managing director. He suggested the officials to provide prompt and better services related with remittance.
Halim Chowdhury called upon the banks officials to provide better customer and modern banking services to the customers in order to expand bank business.
The CEO said this while speaking at the 1st Managers’ conference-2016 of Dhaka Central, Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Narayangonj regions at bank’s head office recently.
Addressing as the chief guest, Halim Chowdhury advised all regional managers and branch managers to work hard, look for new business avenues and adopt diversification and to take concerted efforts for achieving the target fixed for the year 2016.
He called upon all the executives to keep close vigilance so that newly disbursed loans may not become overdue or classified. Intensive supervision and close monitoring of the loan should be made.
Mohammad Ali and Akhtar Hamid Khan- Deputy Managing Directors were present as the special guests. General Managers of Head Office, Corporate Heads and other Senior Executives were present.
