The birth certificate, trade license, academic or any kind of certificates will be available in exchange of money. Not only that, the certificates required for going abroad even can be manufactured by the fraud rings.
The deceptive gangs are active in the capital’s Khilkhet area in the name of business on ‘computer composes.’ But the evils could not protect themselves at last as police got the trace of the cheating group and recovered evidence of more than thousand fake certificates provided to the clients.
When any customer scanned their certificate,
then the fraud group saved its soft copy. Later they maintained serial number and changed name, address and others information and made a new fake certificate. Following this method they have manufactured about 14 secondary School certificates (SSC).
They have given the certificates to those who are interested to go to foreign country paying four to five thousands taka. The fraud gangs were out of investigation as the foreign recruit company has less opportunity to verify these certificates.
After operating many drives the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) finally was able to arrest the ring pin Salahuddin. But after serving one month in jail, he got bail.
CID also seized 17 certificates of SSC, HSC and Honours, fake trade license, birth certificate, 15 National Identity Cards (NID) and joining letters and two computer hard disks.
After getting bail, Salahudding has returned back to his previous job. At this CID operated another drive and got new computers with fake different certificates.
Police advised that after scanning any certificates in any computer composes shop, customers should delete documents by own responsibility. Otherwise, the fraud gang can misuse them.
