A private car from Paturia Ghat to Dhaka costs Tk 400. Money will be given back if you have to get down in the road in trouble with police or magistrate. The private car drivers are calling the passengers saying this.
On Friday (June 25) morning, such a picture was seen in the Paturia ferry area.
A driver of a private car heading to Dhaka said that the car was not being rented in the lockdown. I have come to Paturia ferry area to meet the financial demand.
There are police and magistrates at different points of Dhaka-Aricha highway. So you have to go to Gabtali using Singair road as an alternative.
Many have gone home from Dhaka in case of emergency and are stuck in lockdown. Now there are obstacles in different places to go to Dhaka. There is a lot of suffering due to the closure of public transport.
No official of the police administration in charge of the Paturia ferry wharf area denied passenger crossing.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Golora Highway Police Station, said there was no opportunity for ordinary passengers to reach Dhaka via the Dhaka-Aricha highway. Highway police patrols continue in the highway area.
