The patients and relatives of patients have been suffering severely lack of power failure in a number of wards of the Chittagong Medicl College Hospital for the last three days. Hospital sources said, the hospital transformer of PDB went out of order on June 4 last from 2 pm causing sufferings to the patients . PDB is trying to reinstall the new transformer.
A sources of public works department told this reporter that power connection in all wards completed from yesterday afternoon.CMCH police camp SI Jahirul Islam told that situation as yet normal in all wards except operation theater, gynaey and ICU ward.
A reliable sources said following the disorder of transformer, deadlock is prevailing in maximum units of the hospital though the PDB and PWD claim 70% generation of power is functioning from yesterday afternoon and the remaining is expected to be completed by end of the day.
