Again, the city’s public and private hospitals are full of corona patients. Although the patient has been increasing for some time, the hospitals have been struggling to cope with the pressure of the patients for the last few days. The cabin / bed with ICU prescribed for corona patients is full. As if there is no place. In the meantime, the number of beds for corona patients has been increased in several private hospitals.
However, even after increasing the number of beds, the patients could not be accommodated.
Hospital officials say that even two or three weeks ago, most of the cabins / beds allotted for Corona patients were empty. But in the last 15/20 days, the picture has changed and the patient pressure has suddenly increased in the hospitals. The search revealed that none of the beds reserved for Corona patients at private Parkview, Metropolitan, National and Ma O Shishu Hospitals were vacant. In the meanwhile, some hospitals are not able to handle the pressure of the patients even by increasing the number of beds.. The metropolitan hospital has 18 cabins for corona patients. On Monday, GM Mohammad Selim of the Metropolitan Hospital said that patients were admitted in all the cabins.
