Patients demand DSCC free health service continue

Patients from different areas of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) demanded continuation of its free health services.
DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon on October 18 initiated the free health services for the under-privileged people in its jurisdictions on the occasion of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s birthday.
The services began in 889 centers of 57 wards in five zones of DSCC.
The programme will end on November 3. DSCC officials said huge number of people including women and children are availing medical services from those centers everyday.
DSCC officials said, 68 teams of Sub-Assistant Medical officers had 105 men and 37 female officials for rendering free medical services and medicines.
They said it was the first such initiative taken by the corporation so far.
