Chattogram police have arrested a Pathao driver accused by a passenger of attempting to rape her.
The suspect has been identified as Mizanur Rahman, 29, who lives in Chattogram’s New Mooring residential area.
He was detained from his home early on Sunday morning, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police
Assistant Commissioner (Double Mooring) Ashiqur Rahman.
The plaintiff in the case is an MBBS graduate from a private college who is working as a medical intern.
She told police that she had hired Mizan to take her from the Free Port area to Bhatiari on Jul 4 when he stopped his car in Pahartoli’s Jele Para area and attempted to rape her.
