Passing out parade of Navy held

The passing out parade marking the induction of B/2016 batch of 783 New Entry Sailors of Bangladesh Navy was held recently at BNS Titumir parade ground in Khulna.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
He congratulated the newly inducted sailors for choosing a profession related to national security and prosperity.
Admiral Ahmed called upon them to build up their competency through implementing the knowledge that they acquired from the naval academy in their work.
He also advised them to remain careful in maintaining all naval warships and equipment which is scared deposition of the nation.
Paying glowing tributes to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, the navy chief urged the sailors to go ahead with determination to defend the independence and sovereignty of the country at any cost.
Terming Bangladesh identified globally as a role model country for development, he said, adding that capability of navy has enhanced numerously and activities to make a time befitting modern trimension navy is under processing.
As part of strengthening of navy, at least two submarines “Nobojatra” and “Joyjatra” have already reached in the country. And navy will unveil as a new trimension force after commissioning two submarines in naval fleet, he added.
Earlier, the navy chief reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute at the march past.
He distributed “Naval Chief Award” to new sailor Md Tusharuzzaman for his outstanding performance. He also distributed “Kamkhul award” to Injamul Haque Polash for achieving second position and “Titumir award” to Abdullah Al Mamun for achieving third position during the professional training.
Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Personnel), commodore commanding of Khulna and local high civil and military officials of Khulna were present at the function.
