Passing Out Parade of Direct Entry Officer 2017/A Batch of Bangladesh Navy was held on Wednesday at Bangladesh Naval Academy premises in Chittagong, says an ISPR release.
Commander Chittagong Naval Area Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He reviewed the parade and took salute of the impressive march past. Through this Parade, 15 Direct Entry Officers of 2017/A Batch graduated after completing their 6 months training and were decorated with their rank badges.
Direct Entry Officer Sumaiya Afreen was adjudged as the Best Direct Entry Officer of the course and awarded with ‘Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Ruhul Amin Gold Medal.
After reviewing the parade, the Chief Guest attended the Epaulette Wearing Ceremony. Higher dignitaries, senior military and civilian officers, parents and guardians of the passing out batch were also present during the parade.
