The pass rate in the SSC examination under Sylhet Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is 80.26% which 4.51% less than previous year.
Last year pass rate was 84.77%.
Number of GPA-5 has increased this year. This year the number of GPA-5 is 2663. which is 397 more than last year. This year 1427 boys and 1236 girls obtain GPA-5.
Science Group lead both in rate of pass and GPA-5.
At a press conference at boards meeting room on Thursday, Sylhet Education Board Secretary M Mustofa Kamal formally declared the result. He said due to fail in Math, the pass rate has decreased .
Under Sylhet Education Board 812 institutes took part in this year. Of them 37 institutes are able to pass their all students. Total number of examinee was 94.142 in Sylhet Board this year.
