SSC exam results: Pass percentage, GPA rate increase in Ctg Board

A total of 91.40 percent students in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) passed this year, which is the highest in terms of percentage of pass & GPA 5 in last 17 years.
According to results of the SSC-2014 published yesterday , the percentage of pass in CEB is 91.40. Last year the percentage was 88.04 . The percentage of pass in male students is 92.33 while female students are 90.58.
A total of 10,884 students got Grade Point Average (GPA)-5 which is 3,226 more than the previous year. Of those receiving GPA-5 the male are 5,589 and female 5,305.
The percentage of pass in Science group is 93.87, humanities groups 85.99 and Business Studies 92.94.
The percentage of pass in schools of the city area is 95.60 while 91.70 students in schools of other areas.
According to results analysis there is no school with zero percent of pass under CEB this year. 91 schools also secured 100 percent pass under the Chittagong education board.
A total of 83,946 out of 92,123 examinees came out successful in the examination and 963 school under CEB participated the SSC examination this year, board sources said.
Controller of Examinations of CEB Prof Dr Pijush Dutta announced this result yesterday at 11 am at Board office, sources said.
