Pass marks in Admission Test of BRU reduced

The admission committee of Begum Rokeya University (BRU), Rangpur has decided to reduce pass mark of two units in the 1st year admission test on the academic year 2017-18.
BRU sources said, the number of students passed is less than the number of seats in these units. For that reason the admission committee is decided to reduce the pass mark of those units.
According to reliable sources, in the “B” unit of social science faculty in the third shift there were 93 seats and the same number of students passed in this unit. And in the “C” unit of Business faculty there were 245 seats but the fewer students had passed less than these seats.
Meanwhile, the admission committee decided to reduce the number of marks from 35 to 28 in the case of admission test result. The matter has been confirmed by the university’s registrar Ibrahim Kabir. He said, due to the disaster of result this decision has been taken.
The two teachers of the university, who are reluctant to disclose the name, said that the result may be disaster due to the beginning of negative marks and the question paper was comparatively difficult.
It is to be noted that, the admission test of BRU was held from November 26 to 30.
