Pass and GPA-5 rate increased in Higher Secondary Examination 2019 under Barisal Education Board as results published yesterday .
Female examinees done better than male in the results of securing GPA-5 and pass rate in Higher Secondary Examination 2019 under Barisal Education Board.
The result Prof. Md. Anowerul Azim, controller of examinations of BEB, declaring the result at his office on Wednesday noon said that most of the failed examinees had bad results in English subject.
According to the declared result of HSC 2019, this year 63,538 examinees appeared from 330 colleges under 118 centers of BEB.
Out them 44,887 (70.65 percent) passed with 1201 GPA-5 grade.
Last year the pass rate of BEB was 70.55 percent with 670 GPA-5 grade.
This year 23,629 (75.48 percent) out of 31,306 appeared female examinees passed HSC with 735 in GPA-5 grade from BEB.
On other hand 21,258 (65.95 percent) out of 32,232 male examinees passed HSC from BEB with 466 GPA-5 grade.
According to the BEB sources, Barishal district done better with 74.17 percent pass rate and 708 GPA-5 grade and result of Patuakhali district with 65.09 percent pass rate and 114 GPA-5 grade was worst among the six district of the division.
Examinees of Science and Home Economics group scored the highest 81.92 pass rate with 835 GPA-5 grade, while the Humanities and Islamic Studies group done worst with 65.56 percent pass rate with 280 GPA-5 grade in group-wise result of HSC 2019 of BEB.
Besides examinees of Business Studies group with 71.38 percent pass rate with 86 GPA-5 grade scored second in group wise results , BEB sources said.
Prof. Md. An0werul Azim, controller of examinations of BEB, informed that 30 examinees including 23 male and 7 females had been expelled for adopting unfair means in HSC examination 2019.
There were no zero-percentage institution and five cent percent passed institutions included one from Patuakhali and Pirojpur and 3 from Barishal district, the CE of BEB added.
Specialized institution Barishal Cadet College with 49 examinees scored cent percent pass with GPA-5 grade in HSC 2019, BEB sources said.
