Partex Group Chairman MA Hashem laid to eternal rest

Noted industrialist and Partex Group’s founding chairman MA Hashem was buried at Banani Graveyard in the city after namaj-e-janaza on Friday.
At that time, his family members including the sons and relatives were present.
However, a limited number of people were allowed to enter the graveyard because of the health restrictions.
Earlier, late MA Hashem’s first namaj-e-janaza was held after Jumma prayer at Gulshan Azad Mosque. Apart from the family members, people from different strata of the society took part in the namaj-e-janaza.
After MA Hashem was tested Covid-19 positive, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital on December 11. As his oxygen saturation went down, he was shifted to life support on December 16, where he breathed his last early Thursday. He was 78.
He left behind his wife Sultana Hashem, five sons-Aziz Al Kaiser Tito, Aziz Al Mahmud, Aziz Al Masud, Rubel Aziz and Showkat Aziz Russell, grandsons and grand-daughters, relatives, friends and well wishers to mourn his death.
