Staff Reporter: It is unbelievable but true that the US Ambassador in Bangladesh Earl R Miller on Friday has sought help from a parrot in Dhaka to know about his fortune.
The US envoy has shown his interest to know his fate in a Dhaka North City Corporation programme titled ‘Para Utsab’ in Gulshan.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the programme.
Visiting different stalls, Miller found that a parrot was telling peoples’ fortune. It caught his attraction. Instantly he sat beside the parrot and showed his interest to know his fate by the help of the bird.
The DNCC Mayor also sat beside the US envoy in the stall.
Getting gesture, the parrot picked a card, which reads about the fate of the elite customer Miller. It showed that Miller would lead a happy and prosperous life.
One person among the organisers translated the words read in the card about his future, which made the US envoy pleased.
Then the US Ambassador expressed thanks to all with his smiling face.
The US envoy then visited other stalls and enjoys Bangladeshi traditional cakes.
