The 42nd martyrdom anniversary of the father of the Nation and National Mourning Day was celebrated at Parents School and College on Tuesday. In observance of the day, a discussion meeting was held with its Principal Md.Nurul Islam in the chair.
Chairman of Chittagong Education Welfare Foundation Principal Dr Abdul Karim graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The speakers in the discussion meeting remembered the supreme sacrifices of the Bangabandhu for achieving the independence of Bangladesh . The speakers also urged the people to shun the differences and work for establishing a prosperous and peaceful country as model country across the world.
Among others, Admin officer MA Fazal, senior teacher Johra Arjun Shiuli, Md. Rubel, NH Nirab, Shanta Paul, Md. Jane Alam , Reva Das,UmaPaul, Khaled Bhuyia, Kalimullah Rahat, Juma Paul, Jalaluddin Kawser, Md.Nurul Kabir Hanif were present .
The daylong programme was ended following the offering doa and Munajat for salvation of the departed soul.
