Parents care school & College in the port city celebrated the International Mother Language Day and Amar Ekushey at school premises on Friday last to pay homage to the language martyred.
The daylong programs include recitation of national anthem, discussion meeting, cultural programs , drawing competition and prize giving ceremony to the school children . Noted freedom fighter and President of Chattogram Bar Assocn Syed Advocate Syed Moktar Ahmed graced the occasion as chief guest.
Principal of the institution Prof. Jaharlal Bhattachariya presided over it.
The chief guest called upon the students to devote themselves for the well being of the country to uphold the spirit of liberation war. He also assures the school authority for his all out support in any in future.
Teacher Javed Hossain and Admin officer Dr.MA Fazal conducted the whole programs of the Amar Ekushey. The daylong program was inaugurated by the chief editor & publisher of Homoeo Chetona Principal Dr. Abdul Karim .
Before beginning of the daylong programs, the teachers and students of the institution paid tributes to the language martyred by placing bouquet at the Shaheed Minar of Chattogram College premises . Director of the school and law advisor of the institution Advocate Samiuddin delivered the address of w elcome in it. President of Dokan Malik Samity, Chattogram Dr. Saleh Ahmed Solaiman addressed the discussions as special guest. Former Principal of Chattogram college Md. Abul Hasan was the principal speaker in the discussions. Principal Dr. Abdul Karim in his speech discussed the importance of the International Mother Language day and paid homage to language martyred Shahid Rafiq, Jabbar, Salam, Barkat . He also sought cooperation from all quarters for the development of this institution.
