ParaVet training begins at BAU

The opening ceremony of the training for the livestock health workers (ParaVet) was held on Saturday morning at the seminar room of Surgery and Obstetrics Department of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).
Prof Dr Md Golam Shahi Alam, Dean of Veterinary faculty, was addressed as chief guest with Dr Nasrin Sultana Juena, head of Surgery and Obstetrics department on chair. Upazila Livestock Officer (ULO) of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district Dr Nazrul Islam was present as special guest.
Toward the trainees Prof Dr Golam Shahi Alam said, “The lesions you will be trained in this progrmme is enough for the husbandry and primary treatment. I expect from you all that you would learn these lesions properly to enhance the life style of your locality through livestock development.”
Sponsored by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the Haor Infrastucture and Livelihood Improvement Project (HILIP) materializes the training through the co-ordination of Community Based Dairy Veterinary Foundation (CDVF). Arranged by CDVF, total 30 people from 2 upazilas of Brahmanbaria district are attending the 14 days long training programme.
