Pant appointed as vice-captain for WI T20I series

India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the vice-captain for the upcoming T20 International series against the West Indies.
The decision came after newly appointed India white-ball vice-captain KL Rahul got injured during the second one-day international of the three-match series against West Indies.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), announcedd on February 14 that Pant has been made the vice-captain of the Indian T20I team for the three T20Is against West Indies, which will be played on February 16, 18 and 20.
Indian spinner Washington Sundar also has a hamstring strain and was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav in the squad.
India claimed a comfortable 3-0 series win in the 50-over matches played against Kieron Pollard’s side. All three T20s between the two sides will be staged at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
