Following the murder of Satyaranjan Mallik, owner of a fish farm and son of one Samir Mallik of village Bashbaria within Santshpur Union Parishad under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagearhat panic has been created among the owners of the fish farms of the localities.
It is mentioned here that Satyaranjan Mallik was killed on Thursday night by the miscreants while he was guarding his fish farm. At the night a gang of miscreants poured poison in his fish farm and while they were stealing fish from the farm Satyajit could identify them.
As a result, the miscreants slaughtered him and threw his dead body thrown into the fish farm. But no body was arrested so far in this connection.
As a result, fish owners now afraid of fear to guard their fish farms at night. The owners of the fish farms of Chitalmari Upazila demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits.
Md. Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Chitalmari PS told the newsmen, the matter is being treated with top priority and police are trying their level best to arrest the culprits.
