The Industries Ministry has formed a five-member probe panel to look into the BSEC Bhaban fire at the city’s Karwan Bazar area.
The investigation committee, headed by Industries Ministry additional secretary Mohammad Farhad Uddin, was constituted on Sunday, said a ministry release on Monday.
The committee has been asked to submit its report by November 15 with necessary recommendations.
A fire swept through a floor of multi-storey Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) Bhaban that houses a number of media outlets on Friday noon.
The fire broke out at the office of Bangla daily ‘Amar Desh’ on the top floor of the 11-storey building.
