A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday to mark the nation’s Independence Day and observes the Diamond Jubilee of its creation.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui hoisted national flag at the Chancery to the tune of the national anthem.
The ceremony was attended by the members Pakistan community in Bangladesh, local media persons and staff of the High Commission.
On the occasion of the day, separate messages of President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were read out on the occasion.
