Sports Reporter :Pakistan managed to beat UAE by seven wickets in the match of the Asia Cup Twenty20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.Winning in the coin session, United Arab Emirates decided to bat first and scored a modest total of 129 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.In reply, Pakistan romped home in 18.4 overs making 131 for the loss of three wickets.Pakistan faced an early debacle losing their first three wickets for only 17 runs.Then, Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik resisted the bowling attack of UAE contributing together 114 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket stand.Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten with 63 while Umar Akmal remained unbeaten with 50.Amjad Javed of UAE bagged three wickets.
