UNB, Dhaka :Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka on Friday evening mourned the death of its citizens, including 132 schoolchildren, in a deadly terror attack recently.A candle light vigil and a doa mahfil were held at the High Commission office in the city in remembrance of the innocent victims of the massacre at the Army Public School, Peshawar.Members of the diplomatic corps, acting High Commissioner of Pakistan in Dhaka Ahmad Hussain Dayo, Pakistani community, Bangladeshis from all walks of life, officers and staff members of the Pakistan High Commission along with their families attended the event. People attended at the event also signed a condolence book opened at the Pakistan High Commission on December 17.They all expressed deep shock and revulsion at the despicable act of terrorism perpetrated on the schoolchildren.Earlier, the Pakistan Foreign Office instructed its diplomatic missions abroad to observe three-day mourning in connection with Peshawar terror attack.The Pakistani nation and the world stand united in condemning this heinous crime and remain resolute in their commitment to eliminate terrorism.Pakistan’s military on Friday said it has killed 57 militants in ground assaults and air strikes on Taliban units in areas near the border with Afghanistan.The operations come days after the Taliban killed 141 people at the school in Peshawar, mostly children.
