Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) organized a discussion meeting and a painting competition at its headquarters in the city on Sunday in observance of 39th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.
State Minister for Textiles and Jute Ministry Mirza Azam, MP, inaugurated the Painting Competition at 1st floor of LGED Bhaban at 10 am on Sunday while LGED Chief Engineer Md. Wahidur Rahman accompanied the Minister. The State Minister thanked the LGED for arranging such competition among the children.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP was present as the Chief Guest. LGED Senior Secretary Monzur Hossain and other high officials were also present on the occasion. The programme was chaired by LGED Chief Engineer Md. Wahidur Rahman. At the end of function Asaduzzaman Noor, M.P. gave away the prizes and the certificates among the participants.
