Staff Reporter: Youth couples are celebrating the Valentine day with festive mood in the parks, Shopping malls and streets in the capital city Dhaka, the port city Chattogram and other big cities.
The youths are wearing red and yellow joining the celebrations as the day is celebrating in Pahela Falgun, the first day of Spring.
Spring called the king of the six seasons in Bangladesh, brings back warm sunshine, budding flowers and singing birds.
The youths are celebrate Valentine’s Day with their loved ones.
Clad in red and yellow, with flowers in their hands, hundreds of young boys and girls are gathering the premise of the Fine Arts faculty of Dhaka University, where the festives of Bangla culture are celebrate regularly.
The youngsters are also gathering at Dhaka University’s Teacher-Student Centre (TSC), Arts Faculty, Curzon Hall, Mall Chattar in colourful clothes, exchanging flowers and gifts.
There are various programmes in the capital to welcome Spring. Different socio-cultural organisations are enjoying the day with various programmes, including music festivals, on the DU campus.
Gift shops are trying to boost their sales on the occasion with varieties of gift items.
Shopping malls are found full of youth couples. Flower markets are busy with selling red roses.
