Due to the abnormal rise of water in the Padma River at Paksey the dam overflowed in Molla Para of Chardhapari mouza of Ishwardi and the water entered the locality. A large number of people have been flooded. Their misery has increased due to lack of pure water and inability to cook on stove.
Meanwhile, due to the submergence of the char areas, there has been an extreme crisis of cattle feed. Flood-affected herdsmen are also suffering due to lack of cattle feed. In this situation, the residents of Char are coming here in boats with cows and buffaloes, cattle and houses.
The water of Padma is increasing every day in Ishwardi. According to the Pabna Water Development Board, the water level in the Padma River in Ishwardi is now rising by an average of 12 cm per day.
The water level at Pakshi Hardinge Bridge Point was found to be 13.91 meters on Thursday morning. The danger level at Hardinge Bridge Point of Padma River is 14.25 meters. That is, the water reaches the danger level.
It was seen on the spot on Thursday that as the water level continued to rise, water overflowed the embankment of the block at several places in Arambaria, Gopalpur village of Ishwardi’s Sara Union.
Water has entered the houses and shops of Saidul Mallik in Gopalpur village, Arju and the backyards of Israel.
The water of the river has entered the sugarcane fields of the farmers in the char areas. Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdul Latif said there was no possibility of an arrow.
