Paddy-rice procurement was formally inaugurated at Bonpara Govt. Food Godown in Baraigram upazila under Natore district on Monday. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Zahangir Alam and Bonpara Pouro Mayor K.M.Jakir Hossain jointly inaugurated the paddy-rice procurement cutting a red ribbon. At that time, Upazila Food Controller Afroza Pervin, Bonpara Food Godown officer Tanmoy Bishwas, Upazila AL Chairman Abdul Kuddus Miyaji with local elite, farmer and journalists were present in the inaugural function. 20 metric ton of paddy was procured on the inaugural day. The target of paddy procurement in the Aman-session is 661 metric ton. Paddy is being bought at 26 taka per Kg. and the target of boiled-rice procurement is 3036 metric ton. Boiled rice is being bought at 37 taka per Kg.
