By-election in Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency will be held tomorrow. The Election Commission has made all preparations for a fair, free and peaceful election. Ishwardi Upazila Election Office has also completed all the work as per the instructions of the Election Commission. The 129 polling stations have been set up in Pabna-4 constituency for peaceful polling.
Extensive preparations have been made by the administration. In order to maintain law and order in Pabna-4 constituency, 4 patrol teams of RAB, 6 platoon BGB, 6 Striking Force teams and 4 Reserve Striking Force teams, 21 mobile teams consisting of 8 members of police, 1548 Ansar VDP members and a total of 1057 members of police. Six additional superintendents of police, 3 ASPs and 40 inspectors will be on duty under the leadership of one SP. Besides, Pabna Deputy Commissioner Kabir Mahmud, District Returning Officer Abdul Latif, 2 Assistant Returning Officers, 2 Upazila Nirbahi Officers, 2 Judicial Magistrates and 16 Magistrates will remain ready.
