Although 3 months have elapsed since the murder of Nayan Ali (19) in Paba upazila of Rajshahi, there has been no significant headway over the investigation of the sensational murder.
The deceased Nayan was a cowherd and son of Golam Nobi of Berpara village under the upazila.
Family members and locals expressed frustration enormously as the murderers are yet to be identified and arrested. Even, the law enforcing agency could not explore the real reason of the murder.
On May 30, Nayan’s floating body was recovered from Padma River by the members of law enforcing agency. Later, the body was sent to the hospital for autopsy. In the autopsy report, it was seen that Nayan was killed by hanging.
However, after getting autopsy report, Nayan’s mother Shahina Begum filed a murder case in the incident.
In the case statement, Shahina Begum mentioned that Nayan along with some of his fellows was going to Charmajhardiya border area for bringing cows and buffalos but that day, he was not return the home. In the morning after the day, he was seen floating at the Padma River.
In this murder, Nayan’s fellows can be involved, Shahina also mentioned in the case statement.
Mazharul Islam, officer in charge of Damkura police station said that Nayan might have been killed for several reasons. Although it was a clueless case, the investigation process of this case is going on to arrest the culprits.
