Paayel Sarkar is busy shooting for Argha Deep Chatterjee’s film titled Mukhosh. “I play Pamela and for the first time, I’m playing a character with grey shades. The film is a thriller, where a girl lodges a complaint when her sister goes missing. She suspects that her sister’s husband is behind her disappearance. Playing a character that is not positive is challenging for me, as all through my career, I have only essayed positive roles. When I am playing Pamela I realise I have so much to do and I am literally pushing myself to do something different where the audience can say and feel that this is not the Paayel they have known for so long. The character has lot of layers that will make the audience think whether I am the culprit or not. Then again, they will be confused and think I am a good human being,” said the actress with a smile.
Paayel will also start shooting for Nihal Dutta’s film titled Choddobeshi where she plays Sudha. “It’s a love story-cum-family drama. Sudha is a cultured lady who is into theatre. A new hero will be launched opposite me. Saurav Das plays an interesting character in the film. I am yet to do the look test and I plan to sport a different look,” said the actress.
When asked about her Puja plans, Paayel said she will be in Kolkata, as she is part of many Puja activities. “I love the fact that the Puja is coming, but those four days pass in a jiffy. I have shifted to a new flat and the Puja at the complex is organised in a grand way. Sadly, I am yet to start my puja shopping,” the actress singed off.
