Ovi Moinuddin gets BABISHAS Award

For the second time Ovi Moinuddin (Mohammad Moin Uddin) received late journalist Golam Kibria Memorial Award in the category of Best Cultural Journalist in BABISHAS (Bangladesh Binodon Sangbadik Samity) Awards giving ceremony held at Mirpur Indoor Stadium in the city recently. Ovi received the award from Railway Minister Md Mujibul Haque and President of BABISHAS Abul Hossain Mazumder in the programme.
While sharing his feelings in this regard Ovi told this correspondent, “I am really grateful to all specially the cultural journalists because without their cooperation I couldn’t become Ovi Moinuddin.”
Hailed from Sunamganj and second son of Gias Uddin and Rusheda Parvin Ovi Moinuddin completed graduation and post-graduation degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism from University of Dhaka. In HSC, he secured the 18th position in merit list.
When studying in Cadet College Ovi got training on classical music and modern song from Ustad Ram Kanai.
