Music was his fascination during childhood. Born in Moddhyonogor Bazar of Sunamganj journalist Ovi Moinuddin got appreciation rendering song on the stage when he was student of Sylhet Cadet College and University of Dhaka. He received training from Ustad Ram Kanai Das under coordination of his cadet college teacher Prof Abul Hossain. Later due to practicing journalism he couldn’t continue music.
After passing two decades in journalism, Ovi is going to release his first original track titled Chaina hridoy bhenge jak, hoye jak purey purey chhai. He said that he has composed tune of the song on his mobile phone. Later he requested Yousuf Ahmed Khan to arrange its music. Within very soon he will give voice at Yousuf’s own studio.
While talking about rendering song for first time Ovi said, “Basically my attachment with music was developed when I was student of Sylhet Cadet College. I am grateful to all of them. I believe listeners will enjoy the song. After improving corona situation, I want to make music video of the song.”
