BSS, Dhaka :
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain called upon the overseas jobseekers to remain alert about brokers or fake agents.
“Everyone should remain alert so that brokers cannot make any kinds of fraudulence with jobseekers. Many step into wrong path under the influence of brokers and in many cases their dreams get demolished in the midways,” he said.
Farhad said this on Thursday while addressing as the chief guest a virtual seminar on ‘Safe Migration and Skill Development’ arranged by Technical Training Centre, Meherpur with the cooperation of the district administration.
He said when jobseekers step into wrong path, not only they face damages but also their families lose everything. So, before going abroad, everything should be ensured, he said.
“We expect that the people of our country will work abroad with dignity. A skilled and trained worker earns much more than an unskilled worker in foreign countries. So, before going abroad, jobseekers must receive training properly,” he said.
The state minister said if the youths can be built properly by imparting training, they can earn with dignity at home and abroad.
Meherpur Deputy Commissioner Dr Monsur Alam Khan chaired the seminar while Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) Director General Md. Shahidul Alam and Meherpur Police Super SM Murad Ali addressed it as the special guests.
