More than six thousand examinees absent in PSC examination in Barisal division started from Sunday.
Kazi Mahbub Elahi, deputy director primary education directorate in Barisal , said to 1,75,622 candidates were registered and 1,69,422 candidates participated in primary school certificate examination in 481 centers of six districts under Barisal division.
As 6,200 candidates were absent in the examination halls and that number was less than three percent of the total candidates, he added.
The examination held peacefully with proper discipline
According to the divisional primary education department in Barisal district 1,726 out of total 51,786 candidates remained absent in the examination.
The number of absent candidates were 1,995 out of total 34,868 candidates in Bhola, 727 out of 20,837 candidates in Barguna, 311 out of 13,290 candidates in Jhalakathi, 421 out of 20,682 candidates in Pirojpur and 1, 020 out of 34,159 candidates in Patuakhali districts.
