Over 54pc of ADP allocation for Jute and Textile Ministry released

The government has so far released over Taka 91 crore out of Taka 166 crore allocation under the annual development programme in the current fiscal for implementing fifteen projects under the Jute and Textile Ministry.
According to an official release received here Sunday that the percentage of the ADP disbursement till the last month in 2014-15 fiscal was over 54 per cent while it was only 37.86 per cent in the previous fiscal.
On the other hand, although there was an expectation to complete at least nine projects out of fifteen by June 2015, but only four projects would be completed at the end of current fiscal, a review meeting of ADP implementation was told. The review meeting on ADP implementation progress of the Jute and Textile Ministry held at its conference room on Tuesday.
The projects includes up-gradation of Pabna Textile Institute as Pabna Textile Engineering College at a cost of Taka 53.64 crore, up-gradation of Barisal Textile Institute as Textile Engineering College at a cost of Taka 105.48 crore, Up-gradation of Begumganj Textile Institute in Noakhali as Textile Engineering College at a cost of Taka 43.78 crore, project for establishment of Jenaidah Textile Engineering College at a cost of Taka 84 crore, Gopalganj Textile Engineering College establishment project at a cost of Taka 98.20 crore, Establishment of four Textile Institutes project located at Khulna, Chittagong, Rangpur and Natore at a cost of Taka 226.90 core and establishment of a Textile Institute project at Gaurnadi in Barisal at a cost of Taka 62.13 crore, the meeting was informed.
