Over 4000 people affected cold-related diseases in last 24 hours

Staff Reporter: More than 4000 people have been affected with Various cold-related diseases across the country in the last 24 hours.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room said it on Saturday.
The data of the DGHS showed that 668 of the patients received treatment for acute respiratory infection while more 1,639 were treated for diarrhoea, and 1,889 for other diseases including, fever, the eye and skin diseases and jaundice.
It said also that 50 deaths were reported across the country between November 1 and December 28 due to cold-related diseases.
The DGHS data said that10 deaths recorded in Khagrachhari and Panchagarh each during this period. The victims from Khagrachhari died of acute respiratory infection, those in Panchagarh died due to other illnesses.
Hospitals from different districts have reported the rise of patients infected from cold-related diseases are going there to take medical treatment.
