With an aim to develop women freelancers on online outsourcing, the government along with Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS), a non-government organization, implemented the project at 276 upazilas, officials told BSS.
Under the project, as many as 12,420 women in 276 upazilas received two-day basic outsourcing training, they said adding 2,240 have been selected from 12,420 trainees for taking five-day subject-based training to enhance ICT skills in the online outsourcing market.

HSC pass was fixed as minimum academic qualification for receiving online trainings, Nigar Sultana said adding many women with graduation or post-graduation also received the outscoring trainings.
TMSS has set a help desk for one year period so that women freelancers can take any technical support for carrying out their online outsourcing, she said.
“After receiving the trainings, many women freelancers earned handsome amount of money, it will be very encouraging for others to do better in online outsourcing,” Nigar Sultana said.
Most of the women freelancers, who took trainings under the Bari Boshe Borolok project, earn Taka 20,000 and 25,000 every month, she added.
In order to create skilled freelancers to ensure better access to the global online outsourcing market, TMMS is implementing a project at Durgapur upazila of Netrokona district to provide one-month training on online outsourcing.
This training will be given among the youths across the country in phases.
