Barapukuria Coalmine: Outsourcing staff threaten action to realise 4-pt demands

Outsourcing staff of Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Ltd (BCMCL) have threatened on Monday afternoon to disrupt the coal production to realize their 4- point demand, including cancellation of outsourcing system from company’s organogram.
 Abul Kashem Sikdar President of BCMCL Workers and Workers Union readout the keynote of the press conference at the mine area on Monday afternoon.
 The 4-point demands include -cancellation of outsourcing system from the company’s organogram and jobs of all staff employed by outsourcing agents in the company have to be permanent. Besides, vacant post also have be to be filled with fresh manpower recruitment, 2. Pension for all employees, 3. coalmines projects in the country be implemented by BCMCL and 4. overseas training arrangement for the existing staff.
 Nearly 141 people have been serving in the mine under outsourcing company in different posts.
 Kashem also alleged that these people have been working with the mine since the project started in 1994. These people have been agitating since 14/15 years, but the authority remained indifferent to wake to their demands.
