An operative of outlawed Nakshal Bahini was found dead at a village in Faridpur upazila of Pabna on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Almas Hossain (45) of Terokhada village in Sathia upazila of Pabna, said Masud Rana, officer-in-charge of Faridpur Police Station.
Locals spotted the body of Almas at Mongolgram beel (water body) early in the morning and informed police, said the OC.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body that bore several stab marks and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
