Outgoing Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Ekram Ahmed on Wednesday made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to the President for his cooperation in discharging duties, and apprised him of various activities taken by the BPSC during his tenure. President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting. Abdul Hamid thanked the PSC Chairman for discharging his duties cordially and efficiently. The President termed the PSC as a prestigious organisation and praised various steps taken by the Chairman to uphold its image. Secretaries concerned to the President office were present.
Ekram Ahmed joined the PSC as its Chairman on December 24, 2013 and went on retirement yesterday(Wednesday). Prior to this assignment, he had been serving as PSC member since July 29, 2009.
