Outgoing Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mian Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi Qureshi met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Thursday.
PM’s Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters after the meeting.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that maintaining a peaceful environment for the development of any country is essential.
Hasina said she highlighted the Israeli atrocities on Palestinians in every forum, including the recent United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). “Wherever I have gone there I raised the issue,” she said.
The Pakistan High Commissioner thanked the government for extending its cooperation to him in discharging his duty during his tenure in Bangladesh.
