Afghan Envoy to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at his ministry office on Tuesday.
The envoy expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the foreign minister and the government of Bangladesh during his tenure.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts and contribution of the ambassador to strengthen bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Mahmood stated Bangladesh’s willingness to deepen bilateral ties with Afghanistan which are based on traditional bonds of friendship and multitude of commonalities.
Ambassador Oraz appreciated the tremendous growth and progress made by Bangladesh, especially in the socio-economic sectors, during the recent years under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Oraz also expressed hope that some of the proposed agreements would be concluded soon to further strengthen the bilateral ties.
The minister wished the ambassador’s success, good health and prosperity in future.
