Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Tuesday said the Prime Minister’s visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has not been fruitful as it failed to yield desired results.
“The outcomes of the tour are not as good as expected. We would have been happy had the achievements been better. Though she (PM) had been there with a good will, it couldn’t be materialised,” he said.
The former military ruler made the comments while talking to reporters after attending a conference of Jatiya Ulema Party at the
city’s Institute of Diploma Engineers. Ershad, also a special envoy to the Prime Minister, observed that the Prime Minister’s visit also could not help remove the obstacles towards reopening the UAE’s labour market for Bangladeshis.
