The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) held a daylong workshop on outcome-oriented curriculum on the University campus located at sector-13, Uttara in the capital recently.
The program began with a speech delivered by Chief Guest Prof Dr Quazi Md. Mafizur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of SMUCT. He addressed the importance of outcome-based education concept to develop the effective teaching, career and motto of education. He later announced to commence the program, which was followed by a speech given by IQAC director, Prof Dr Yasmin Ahmed. A technical session was then held by the key speaker, Prof Dr Sarwar Jahan, introduced by Tazia Sultana. Also present in the program was Architect Hosneara Rahman, registrar of SMUCT, along with the university’s teachers and high officials.
The technical session was followed by a series of open discussions and recommendations by the participants, working sessions.
The program ended with the announcement of Associate Professor AFM Mohiuddin Ahmed, Head of Interior and Architecture Department, SMUCT and a vote of thanks given by Md. Anwarul Hoque.
