It is really difficult to identify Shahiduzzaman Selim while first looking in role of Bonduk Habib in the shooting spot. It was really tough to identify on the spot with that make-up. To act in that role, Selim took that type of get-up. He has taken this make-up for own directed telefilm titled Er-e Naam Prem. Though story of the telefilm is romantic typed so he looked like a comedian.
For the first time Nawsheen and Orsha worked together under Selim’s direction in this telefilm. Nawsheen and Orsha played the roles of Farida and Tahiya respectively in the telefilm. Selim has made the telefilm to telecast in new private satellite channel, Bangla TV on the occasion of coming Eid.
While talking about his own directed telefilm Selim told this correspondent, “The actors who worked in this telefilm everybody performed well. Both Nawsheen and Orsha worked under my direction for the first time. Both of them are good actresses. For this reason, I am very much satisfied with their performances. I believe viewers will enjoy the telefilm in Eid.”
Nawsheen shared her feelings by this way, “As a co-actor, I earlier worked with Selim Bhai. But for the first time under his direction I acted. In a word, he is a superb director. I really enjoy his direction. I hope viewers will also enjoy watching the telefilm.”
Orsha said, “Everybody knows that as an actor, Selim Bhai is outstanding. But for the first time I got him as a director. As a director, he is very much organised and sincere. I am really satisfied to work in this telefilm.”
Scripted by Iraj Ahmed besides Er-e Naam Prem, Shahiduzzaman Selim also made another play for Eid titled Robinhood Ashenni Tai. Selim, Nawsheen and Hillol acted in this play which will be telecasted on Desh TV in Eid-ul-Fitr, Selim said.
