An orientation course on cultural and heritage of Bangladesh was held at the Library Building of Bangladesh Folk Art and Craft Foundation on Friday on the premises of Sonargaon museum in Narayanganj.
Additional Cultural Secretary Mohammad Mashiur Rahman joined the function as chief guest organized by Bangladesh Folk Art and Craft Foundation, with its director poet Rabindra Gope in the chair.
Mashiur Rahman hoped that the officers and staffs working under the cultural affairs ministry would acquire knowledge about the country’s culture and heritage through the orientation.
Director General of the Department of Public Libraries Ashish Kumar Sarker, Deputy Cultural Secretary Asim Kumer Dey and more than 60 officers and staffs from Bangla Academy, Bangladesh National Museum, Shilpakala Academy attended the course, among others.
Later, they visited the Folk Art and Craft Museum, the restoration works of historic Boro Sardar Bari and the foundation compound.
