Right to information has been included in the text book of ninth and tenth grade for creating mass awareness on the RTI Act.
Speakers said at the opening ceremony of an orientation on RTI Act for teachers of secondary schools of six upazilas of the district held at Jessore colletorate conference room on Saturday.
MRDI in partnership with Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) organised the programme in cooperation with office of the deputy commissioner and the district education office of Jessore. Orientation programmes will be organized at Jessore Sadar, Bagharpara, Monirampur, Keshabpur, Chagachha and Jhikargachha upazilas of the district.
Deputy Commissioner of Jessore Dr Humayun Kabir inaugurated the programme as Chief Guest while it was attended among others by additional deputy commissioner (education and ICT) Parvez Hasan, upazila nirbahi officer of Jessore sadar Sadar Kamrul Arif, upazila secondary education officer Kamruzzaman Md. Jahangir Hossain Miah, MRDI’s executive director Hasibur Rahman and senior programme officer Hamidul Islam Hillol.
