Orientation for int`l students of Fall-`16 semester of DIU held

The orientation program of international students enrolled in the Fall-2016 semester in different departments of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on Thursday at DIU auditorium. Prof Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice-Chancellor of DIU was present at the program as the chief guest while Prof Dr. S. M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSIT) was also present at the program as the special guest. Conducted by Md. Maruf Chowdhury, Senior Administrative Officer the program was also spoke by Prof Dr. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examinations and Proctor, Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs), Dr. Touhid Bhuyan, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Somalian student Ahmed Hassan.
A total of 75 international students from 6 different countries like China, Nepal, Somalia, Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia enrolled in this Fall-2016 semester in different departments of DIU.
Addressing as the chief guest Prof Dr. Yousuf M. Islam welcomed the students to DIU as their career path and urged the newly enrolled students to make the best use of the resources provided by the university and make them fit for the challenging employment markets.
He asked the students to be ideal human beings by incorporating three major things- discipline, honesty and quality so that they become successful human beings.
